PSM produces advanced ultra-low NOx combustion systems with the lowest emissions available from any source for the mature Frames 6B, 7E/EA and 9E machines and the 501B5/6 and D5/D5A. Today, dozens of these systems are operating around the world consistently delivering less than 5 ppm NOx and virtually zero CO.

PSM combustion systems have been proven to improve heat rate and power output compared to OEM systems while equaling emissions performance and durability.

When developing combustion systems, PSM uses some of the world's most advanced computerized analytical and design tools. However, to prove that our design advancements can dramatically lower emissions, PSM employs rigorous and extensive real world testing in full-scale test facilities. Our new combustion systems are run at full engine conditions, allowing our engineers both to experiment and to experience the actual effects of operation at varying conditions including the burning of alternate fuels.

PSM recognizes the growing importance of alternative fuels. The ability to burn fuel with different gas properties and BTU content provides plant operators with more flexibility and allows them to take advantage of lower cost fuels to optimize profits. Toward that end, our test facilities provide us with a unique opportunity to test these fuels and note their impact on operational parameters and heat rates.
