Alex Hoffs is President of PSM, appointed in 2010, and Head of the Gas Turbine Service Group for Hanwha H2 Energy, leading the global service business. He has 25+ years of gas turbine experience and held various leadership roles in new units and service, both in Europe and the United States. Alex sits on the Industrial Advisory Boards of ASME and the UCF College of Engineering. He actively supports the Autism Project of Palm Beach County, and lives with his family in Jupiter, Florida. Alex holds an advanced engineering degree from RWTH Aachen in Germany and obtained his Ph.D. from EPF Lausanne in Switzerland. He is a graduate of Alstom’s INSEAD Executive Leadership Program.
V.P., Chief Operating Officer
Tim is responsible for PSM operations, including the entire range of products and service offerings. He was previously head of Product Development and has subsequently assumed increased responsibility. Tim has over 30 years of experience in the gas turbine industry, including 9 years at Pratt & Whitney designing military gas turbine engines, and 3 years at Agilis Group developing solutions for Solar and Allied Signal gas turbines. In 1999, Tim joined PSM and has assumed several management positions of increasing responsibility in R&D and engineering. Tim obtained his BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida.
V.P., Aerospace Operations
Chuck is the head of PSM’s Aerospace Operations, which is a new business line being developed to service the Military and Commercial Aviation Industry. Chuck was one of the original founders of PSM and has been with the Company since its inception 22 years ago. He has a total of 39 years of development and manufacturing experience in the gas turbine industry, including 17 years at Pratt & Whitney. Chuck has a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Alabama and holds over 12 patents related to metallurgical processing in the manufacture of gas turbine components.
Head of Global Sales
Prakash Nair, as part of the sales team at PSM for the past 10 years, is accountable for overseeing the company’s global Long Term Agreement sales and tendering effort as well as the Asia sales team. His responsibilities include coordinating the right strategic value propositions and proposal that will match customer’s technical and economic needs for a safe, reliable and profitable plant operation.
Prakash’s previous experience includes working for TNB, a utility in Malaysia, and for Alstom Power in various positions based in SE Asia, Europe & USA. His past positions include key account management, strategy, product promotion & business development.
Prakash has nearly 21 years of gas turbine experience, and earned his BSME from Purdue University, USA and MBA from Cranfield University, UK.
V.P., Strategy & Marketing
Jeff has been part of PSM’s Leadership team since 2001. He currently leads Global Product Management & Strategy which includes business development for clean energy gas turbine hydrogen solutions. Prior to his time at PSM, Jeff was with GE for 16 years. His primary focus was in the development of advanced lean-premix low emission combustion system designs for heavy duty gas turbines. Jeff is an active member of ASME, including past leadership of their International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) Electric Power Committee, and holds four (4) US patents focused on innovative combustion technology. He received his BSME from Clarkson University and MSME from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

CEO, Thomassen Energy
In 2018, Peter Stuttaford was appointed CEO of Thomassen Energy, located in Rheden/Netherlands, working closely with PSM. Peter has 25+ years of experience in gas turbine design, including 17 years of product development at PSM, where he led the PSM Product Engineering unit. He holds 60+ patents in the gas turbine field and is considered “the father” of PSM FlameSheet™ technology. A key focus is developing clean technologies and retrofits for gas turbine integration with the growing installed base of renewable energy. Peter enjoys traveling, sailing and exploring new boundaries. He started his career at Pratt & Whitney Canada, and holds a PhD from Cranfield University, England, a MS from the University of Florida, USA, and a BS from the University of Natal, South Africa.
