Part Load Performance (PLP), a 501F product that offers turn down and part load heat rate benefits via changes in the GT control logic. PLP is a closed loop control scheme that provides accurate control of the IGV’s via feedback from the exhaust temperature readings, which allows the system to optimize its performance at all part load and ambient conditions.
PLP provides the following customer benefits: • Part load heat rate optimization • Improved transient load stability • Coupled with Autotune, PLP eliminates the need for seasonal emissions and stability tuning • PLP will offer improved turn down margin, achieved at optimal emissions/dynamics levels • Icing potential alarms will be implemented as part of PLP to permit continued safe operation at all load points and ambient conditions.
