Annually Alstom holds its annual d2e or “dedicated to excellence” Awards, and PSM’s Andon system, which is used for identifying production stoppages, won an engagement award in Thermal Services North America. The d2e awards are broken down into 6 distinct areas; quality, lead time reduction, cost competitiveness, standardization & modularization, people & safety and engagement. The Andon system won this engagement award due to the personnel in the workshop and personnel supporting the workshop showing involvement and commitment to improvement. Each Andon shows us (PSM) a small piece of the puzzle to becoming a better business.
